2 LAPD Officers Injured In South Los Angeles Shooting; Gunmen At Large
A search is underway for two male suspects who opened fire on two LAPD officers in South Los Angeles Sunday. The shooting was reported in the area of 65th Street and Broadway at about 5:45 p.m., police said. The shootings appeared to have occurred from a distance and the officers did not appear to be targeted, investigators said. The officers, who were in plain clothes and in an unmarked vehicle at the time of the shooting, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

VIDEO: LAPD Officer Runs Marathon in Uniform
Kristina Tudor, an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department is running the LA Marathon today in full uniform to honor the fallen and raise funds for their families. According to KCAL Channel 9 News, Tudor said every stride she takes during the long, grueling race will represent perseverance through adversity, which is what families of LAPD officers injured or killed in the line of duty face daily.

Car Belonging to Missing LAPD Officer Named 'Person of Interest' in Ponoma Homicide
Ponoma police confirmed Sunday that they found the car belonging to rookie Los Angeles Police Department officer considered a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man. However, Lt. Ronald McDonald with the Ponoma Police Department said mid-afternoon that there was still no sign of 27-year-old Henry Solis.

LAPD investigating 14 students suspected of sexual assault
Over a dozen teenagers are under investigation for a serious of sexual assaults against two Los Angeles high school students, police said Friday.Investigators believe the assaults took place on an on again, off again basis dating back to the end of 2013 at Venice High School, Los Angeles police Cmdr. Andrew Smith said. Eight suspects were arrested at the school Friday morning, while a ninth suspect was apprehended off campus. The 10th surrendered Friday afternoon and police are searching for the remaining four.

Developing: Police investigate second fatal shooting in Pomona
Police were investigating a second deadly shooting in Pomona on Monday, several days after a 23-year-old man was found dead in a parking lot and investigators named a rookie Los Angeles Police officer a person of interest in that case. The shooting happened at about 12:30 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of West Third Street, near South Myrtle Avenue, said Supervisor Miguel Ornelas of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The victim's identity was not immediately available.

Two Girls, 6 and 8, Among Four Struck in Shooting at Crowded Compton House Party
Two girls and two men were wounded in a drive-by shooting at a child's party that lasted into Sunday morning in Compton, authorities said. All four of the shooting victims were in stable condition in local hospitals, including one girl who underwent surgery after she was shot in the upper torso, according to a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesman.

Investigators have conducted numerous interviews and have searched several locations for Barber, police said. They added in a statement, “As of [Sunday] she has not been located.

Police arrest Missouri man, 20, in shooting of two officers in Ferguson
A 20-year-old Missouri man has been arrested in last week's shooting of two St. Louis County police officers, county officials announced Sunday. Jeffrey Williams was arrested Saturday night and is charged with two counts of assault in the first degree, three counts of armed criminal action and firing a weapon from a vehicle, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch said during the afternoon press conference. McCulloch said Williams was “out there earlier that evening as part of the demonstration” and told police that he fired shots at someone he had a dispute with, and hit the officers, who he alleges were not his intended target.
