LAPD Monitoring ‘Critical Sites' For Paris- Style Attacks
On November 13 the Los Angeles Times reported that Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is monitoring “critical sites” around the city in order to stave off possible Paris-style attacks. According to the LA Times, LAPD spokesman Drake Madison said they have no indicators of any attacks planned “in Los Angeles at this time,” but the police are trying to get out in front of it and keep such plans from being carried out if they quickly develop. This tactic includes “deploying extra patrols near the critical sites within their boundaries, such as power grids and other infrastructure, the Hollywood sign, other tourist locations or Los Angeles International Airport.”
