Here's a list of just some of the workshops that are available:

Duarte's Promise is holding a workshop on "Child Safety". They will be giving tips on safety and discussing alcohol and drug issues with our children today.

Times: 11-11:45 a.m. and 12-12:45 p.m. (two sessions)

Academic Mentor Program is giving you the chance to mentor a middle or high school student. They will be taking you through "Mentor Training".

Time: 11-11:45 a.m.

Reading By 9 is willing to train in leadership, literacy and academic intervention so you will be able to mentor an elementary school student that is at risk of academic failure. This "Tutor Training" will give you skills that will help you will your own children too!

Time: 12-12:45

ABLE International will be sharing their "Effective Parenting Solutions" on how to gain the cooperation of your child, learn how to handle a rebellious child and how to get your children to contribute to the family.

Times: 1-1:45 p.m. and 2-2:45 p.m. (two sessions)

Cedars-Sinai Health System understands the fears and thinking of children in a post-September 11th world. "Helping Children Cope In Turbulent Times" will address age-appropriate responses to help them understand and cope with personal and social calamities in particular and life's uncertainties in general.

Times: 2-2:45 p.m. and 3-3:45 p.m. (two sessions)

D.E.A. is giving a workshop on the dangers of "Club Drugs" and how to safeguard child from becoming a victim of this fast growing problem.

Time: 3-3:45 p.m.
