Calling all SLOs

The Los Angeles Police Department has 168 Senior Lead Officers (SLOs), one for each Basic Car Area. To many residents he or she is the sole recognizable link to the Department.

The SLO is a primary player in the community-based policing efforts across the City. But can you get in touch with yours? Each has been assigned a new communication device, called a "Blackberry," that allows them phone and email connectivity with the community.

Blackberry Wireless Handheld Communication Devices allow Senior Lead Officers to find solutions to the community's needs by increasing productivity and responsiveness to the community.

Here's a complete list of the new SLO phone numbers and email addresses for each of LAPD's 18 Divisions, separated by the four Bureaus. We appreciate Sergeant Vic Dennis and the officers in the Community Policing Unit for providing the community this vital resource.

PLEASE NOTE: Email addresses are the Basic Car number @mycingular.blackberry.net ... so, for example, the email address for my SLO, Officer Richard Rodriguez, who supervises the Hollenbeck Division (Area 4) Basic Car "4A3" is: 4A3@mycingular.blackberry.net (and so on).
