The LAFD CERT Unit has asked for CERT members to
assist with registration and other admin duties
at flu vaccination clinics this week.

County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health
and the City of Los Angeles! Be a part of your
local community's effort to partner with first
responders to enhance local emergency preparedness!
The Flu causes fever, sore throat, cough, chills,
headache, and muscle aches. Each year in the
U.S., more than 114,000 people are hospitalized
and about 36,000 die because of influenza-related illnesses.
Flu vaccination is especially important for
adults age 50 or more, children, pregnant women,
adults with health conditions such as diabetes,
heart disease, lung disease, and other chronic
illnesses, health care workers, and those who
take care of the chronically ill or young children.
A yearly flu shot is recommended for almost everyone.
