Fire Service Recognition Day
- Saturday, May 9th (and Sunday, May 10th)
The second Saturday of May is designated "Fire Service Recognition Day" in Los Angeles. On this day, members of your Los Angeles Fire Department host an Open House at every Neighborhood Fire Station to warmly welcome visitors of all ages.
On Saturday, May 9, 2009** ,from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Neighborhood Fire Stations throughout the City of Los Angeles will be expecting your visit. |
Along with personal tours at each Neighborhood Fire Station, special displays of Los Angeles Fire Department equipment, apparatus and procedures will take place on Saturday, May 9 at:
 Hollywood - 1355 North Cahuenga Boulevard (and Pancake Breakfast!)
Sherman Oaks - 5101 North Sepulveda Boulevard
Studio City - 4305 Vineland Avenue
Beverly Glen - 14145 Mulholland Drive
Downtown LA - Olvera Street
Silver Lake - 2759 Rowena Avenue
Jefferson Park - 3661 7th Avenue
Exposition Park - 900 Exposition Boulevard
Pacific Palisades - 15045 Sunset Boulevard
San Pedro - Ports O'Call Village |

** Those unable to attend on Saturday, due to religious observance, are encouraged to join us instead on Sunday, May 10 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at these special locations:
Studio City - Fire Station 78
Pico/Robertson - Fire Station 58
Fairfax District - Fire Station 61 |
