ABOUT LEZLE STEIN

ME AND “MARLEY AND ME”

A LOS ANGELES DOG TRAINER’S EXPERIENCE
WITH THE HIT FOX STUDIOS MOVIE

Los Angeles, CA – Local Los Angeles-based dog trainer, Lezle Stein, has been selected to be the voice of dog training know-how on the Blu-Ray DVD of the Fox Studios movie Marley and Me,

The highly regarded Stein is a well known entity in the dog training world. A passionate trainer whose mission is to help people live in harmony with their pets, she has a vital role, giving dog training advice, speaking over the entire movie, in the Blu Ray DVD version.

“Marley and Me is the story of an adorable, well-loved dog who is fortunate enough to live with people who don’t abandon their dog despite the fact that he is completely out of control,” says Stein. “This kind of lack of training – really a lack of communication – doesn’t work for most pets or most pet owners. It is this very scenario that leads many people to abandoning their dogs, either on the streets on in the shelters.”

Stein was chosen by the producers of the Blu- Ray DVD in part because of her standing in the local dog training world. LA Councilman Jose Huizar chose Stein to be on the LA City Council Spay and Neuter Advisory Board which advises the mayor on how to better improve spay and neuter services for lower income communities. She recently was rewarded a certificate of acknowledgement from the city council for all of her work. She is the head volunteer dog trainer for Downtown Dog Rescue, which rescues pit bulls from the inner city and works with homeless people in Los Angeles on how to care for and train their dogs. She also works with her neighborhood city council to help provide dog training for low income people. She does private individual dog training and holds regular dog training classes. And she’s currently writing a book about urban dog ownership.

“I was thrilled to be selected,” says Stein. “It’s such a great opportunity to share information with a wide audience about reward-based, fun dog training techniques.”
