June 21, 2012 — 30 sought in illegal driver's license scheme

Special agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are searching for 30 suspects in five states after three indictments were unsealed in federal court. The 30 suspects are wanted for their involvement in a scheme to illegally obtain driver's licenses from New Mexico.

June 21, 2012 — 76-year-old south Texas woman arrested for arranging sham marriages

An Edinburg, Texas, woman was charged Thursday with conspiracy to commit marriage fraud. She allegedly arranged sham marriages between foreign nationals and U.S. citizens for profit since 2002. The investigation was conducted by HSI with the assistance from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

June 20, 2012 — HSI dismantles counterfeit cell phone operation, 3 arrested

HSI, with assistance from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Nassau County Police Department, dismantled a counterfeit trafficking ring. This resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of more than 32,000 bogus cell phones and other electronics.

June 19, 2012 — A Mississippi man receives 60 years for creation, distribution of child porn

A Mississippi man admitted to creating various forms of child pornography with his then 5- and 6-year-old son and distributing it to individuals both inside and outside the United States. Following the HSI investigation, he was sentenced to 60 years in prison for charges related to creation, distribution and possession of child pornography.

June 19, 2012 — 3 charged in probe targeting international prostitution ring

A Los Angeles man, along with his current wife and ex-wife, face federal charges following a 10-month probe that revealed they allegedly recruited women in Eastern Europe and arranged for them to come to the Los Angeles area to work as prostitutes.
