July 19, 2012 — 2 more convicted for attempting to smuggle 652 assault rifle magazines to Mexico

Two Mexican nationals pleaded guilty Thursday to attempting to illegally smuggle 652 assault rifle magazines into Mexico. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) led the investigation that resulted in the guilty pleas.

July 18, 2012 — Twice-deported Mexican national in Wisconsin sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for illegally re-entering US

A twice-deported Mexican national was sentenced Wednesday to 15 months in prison for illegally re-entering the United States after having been previously deported. The sentence resulted from an investigation conducted by ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).

July 18, 2012 — Child predator sentenced to life imprisonment in Louisiana

A Texas man was sentenced to life in prison Friday for producing and distributing child pornography, following an HSI investigation. Evidence showed he joined and participated in the Dreamboard online network while stationed at Fort Bliss, and he also engaged in a pattern of activity involving the sexual exploitation of a 5-year-old.

July 17, 2012 — ICE arrests 24 during 3-day operation targeting criminal aliens, immigration fugitives in Indianapolis

ERO teams arrested 24 convicted criminal aliens, immigration fugitives and immigration violators during a three-day operation in the Indianapolis area. Seventeen had prior convictions for crimes like possessing drugs, resisting arrest, drunken driving and criminal trespass.

July 17, 2012 — Man who sold counterfeit erectile dysfunction drugs online receives prison time

A California man who pleaded guilty earlier this year to using Craigslist to advertise and sell counterfeit erectile dysfunction drugs was sentenced to a year and a day in prison following a probe by HSI.
