Aug. 2, 2012 — HSI, Caribbean Corridor Strike Force seize 450 kilograms of cocaine, arrest 2

Working with members of the Caribbean Corridor Strike Force, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations ( HSI ) arrested two U.S. citizens for drug trafficking and seized 450 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of more than $10 million, off the coast of Puerto Rico.

Aug 2, 2012 — Alleged gang member charged with attempted murder of HSI special agents

A federal grand jury indicted Victor Flores, aka Little Creeper, of Petaluma, Calif., for attempting to kill three HSI special agents May 3. Flores, 20, is charged in a second superseding indictment that adds additional counts to the charges he already faces.

Aug 1, 2012 — San Antonio ICE office deports record number of aliens so far in 2012

ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations ( ERO ) officers from ERO San Antonio deported more than 68,000 aliens so far this fiscal year. Ninety-nine percent of those removals fell within ICE's enforcement priorities.

July 31, 2012 — 31 arrested in San Diego-area ICE operation targeting criminal aliens

During a three-day operation, ERO teams arrested 31 individuals, of which nearly two dozen were criminal aliens whose conviction histories included child sex crimes, battery, domestic violence, embezzlement and possession of narcotics.

July 31, 2012 — Former Delta employee pleads guilty to drug smuggling charges

Following an investigation by HSI, a former Delta Airlines ramp agent pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute controlled substances, after he attempted to obtain a suitcase containing more than $614,000 worth of illegal drugs that had arrived on a flight from Mexico City.
