~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Neighborhood Council Regional Election Week and Random Ballot Placement Lottery was held today at the Piper Technical Center, located at 555 Ramirez Street, 3 rd Floor, Space 300, Los Angeles, California, 90012.
The purpose of the lottery was to decide in what order the Neighborhood Council Regions would have their elections held during the last three weeks of June. The following are a synopsis of the results.
1) The Regional Election Week results were as follows:
Next step:
At the upcoming Regional Meetings, Neighborhood Councils will be voting for the preferred “day of the week” during which they would like to hold their elections (respective to the newly determined dates mentioned above). Each region will vote on one Election Day, for example: If the majority NCs (in a region) vote to have election day on Thursday, then all NCs in that particular region will have their Election Day on Thursday. We encourage the participating Neighborhood Councils to send one official representative with a ranked list of preferred days of the week. Each Neighborhood Council will be able to cast one vote for their preferred day of the week. Only those Neighborhood Councils present will be able to cast a vote.
Holidays during election weeks:
Fathers Day - Sun, June 15 th
