Re: Community Input Meeting on the Carol Baker Tharp Neighborhood Leadership Institute (CBTNLI) Training Program July 30, 2008
Please join us Wednesday, July 30, 2008, from 6 pm to 8 pm, at the Mayor's Press Conference Room on the 3rd floor of City Hall, 200 North Spring Street, for the first meeting with Neighborhood Council leaders, City departments, academic institutions, and community based organizations to discuss the launch of the Carol Baker Tharp Neighborhood Leadership Institute (CBTNLI). The purpose of this meeting is to determine the educational needs of the Neighborhood Council leaders, review the existing trainings and programs in the community, and develop a framework for a series of trainings and programs for the CBTNLI. The CBTNLI is named after the former General Manager of the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and will focus on educating the Neighborhood Council leaders and stakeholders in the City of Los Angeles.
