Is this Fire Weather? Check out these public reports by Brian Humphrey LAFD Firefighter/Paramedic Dear Friend of the LA Fire Department: Los Angeles area Fire Weather reports from our friends at the National Weather Service are now being issued twice daily, at 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM.

Even the most casual observer will note that conditions are ripe in many parts of North America for wildfires. In Los Angeles, special teams of Los Angeles Firefighters have fanned out through the City to offer a detailed inspection of the more than 130,000 properties considered to be in greatest danger. Still, you don't need to live in or near the wildlands to be effected by a firestorm.
