Satellite pictures of your neighborhood

March 13th

Here's something I think is interesting, and maybe even useful for Neighborhood Watchers.

The U.S. Geological Survey has made satellite photos of most of the country available free on the internet, using server space donated by Microsoft.

The following link will get you started, it's a closeup of the Coliseum, which I picked because it's a very recognizable and central location. From there you can zoom and scroll to find your neighborhood.

I've downloaded some of the one meter resolution images using the right click function in Windows, and stitched them together in Photoshop.

I hope you like it ....
