Who is supporting our LAPD? - open letter to Chief Bratton

Chief William Bratton,

My husband, Sgt. William Thomas Clements, has been with LAPD for 30 years. Sgt. Clements is also one of your officers that has recieved a Medal of Valor. On Tuesday May 25, 2004, Sgt. Clements will be receiving his 30 year pin, accomponied by his wife, children and family that will be flying out from Bend Oregon to honor him.

To my surprise you are presently on vacation and will not be the presenting my husband with his 30 year pin.

Sgt. Clements is fighting the fight of his life with bone cancer that has been determined job related, we would love to go on vacation but he is far too weak.

Chief William Bratton, I know you are a busy man, but I so would have been so proud for you to be in attendance to support my husband on this pinnacle day of his life.
